Raised
in a musical family, it’s no wonder Cheri has always been attracted to
the stage. She has been singing in bands for over 15 years. Cheri is proud
to have recorded four CD’s of original music with her former bands: The
Stone Frogs, Blarney Castle, Sweet Polly, and Skyline. Skyline had the
honor of opening for country star Shelby Lynn at the Pabst Theater in
October of 2003. Cheri has sang live as a guest and/or recorded background
vocals for local artists such as: True Heart Suzie, Miss Trixie, Something
Blue, Mudflap, Thin Man, Tinker, Upside Groove Coalition and Musabi.
As a student at UWM, Cheri studied musical theater with Ray Jivoff
and Raeleen McMillion and studied
modern dance with Sarah Wilbur, artistic director of Danceworks
Performance Company. In addition to Cheri’s love of singing, dancing,
and musical theater, she also enjoys playing guitar and writing lyrics.
For a number of years she performed solo at coffee houses, showcasing her
original material. Cheri joined the Eddie Butts Band in September of 2005
and is honored to be a part of a band that not only allows her to express
her passion for singing, but also gives her an opportunity to dance! More pictures from Cheri soon. |
